Voeuja restaurant

• In 2013 we sold our restaurant 'In de keuken' in the center of Amsterdam and moved to the beautiful Ticino in the Italian part of Switzerland, and just some time later we found this beautiful place on the other side of the border and we just fell in love. It took us 5 years to buy and renovate the farm. On July 2019 we started renting out the apartments of Agriturismo Voeuja and occasionally we cooked for our guests.
• We hope we can make a good contribute to eating out in the area for locals and visitors from around the world.

RESTAURANT

• Our kitchen is by far not the ordinary, as a self-taught Dutch / Flamish Chef, Jelle cooks without restrictions. His cuisine doesn't have boundaries it's open minded, sometimes traditional and sometimes unorthodox. There is only one important rule it has to be delicious!  
• The Voeuja kitchen team makes almost everything themselves from fresh top ingredients. From our own bread, of which we grow the sourdough ourselves, to the bonbons and nougat and more.
• In the restaurant you can choose between 4 or 5 courses from our day menu, there is no à la carte choice.
• For children we offer the dishes from the current menus or we can prepare them a pasta with ingredients from our garden.

LOCATION

• Agriturismo Voeuja is at a 5-minute drive from the center of Luino and Lake Maggiore with great views over the lake and mountains. We are open from April until November.
• We are located at one hour drive from Malpensa airport.
• Coming from direction Switzerland we can easily be reached from Exit Bellinzona Locarno and drive alongside the Lago Maggiore to Luino or drive to Lugano Ponte Tresa to Luino (attention here between 15.00 / 18.00 you'll find traffic jams)

THE FARM

• We grow our fruit and vegetables in a natural way, without the use of toxic and damaging products for nature, for the restaurant and for sale to our guests. We have chickens and pigs free to walk around on our land. Most products not from our land are bought locally from small farmers.

Sustainable

• The roof of the agriturismo is packed with solar panels and provides us with electric power among other things for the water pump which provides warm water and heating.
• Rain water is collected for irrigating the field.

Trampoline park and playroom

• Outside in the garden we have a small trampoline park, off course it stands for itself that it's at your own risk, otherwise play some table soccer
• In the lounge we have a kids play room to enjoy.
